French Roast gone dandelion; that was my inspiration when I created Dandelion Dark Roast for those who want to be gluten free. Remove the barley, add dandelion root, simple as that. But, what I didn’t fully realize was how dark roasted dandelion roots would add their own bitter flare to make this brew uniquely appealing to coffee and tea purists alike. Now I’ve discovered that people love that dandelion bitter under-note and of course, love the detox properties dandelion root stimulates in their bodies.

Every cup combines the health benefits of roasted dandelion root with roasted ramón seeds, French chicory roots and carob pods. Dandelion and chicory roots contain inulin, a prebiotic soluble fiber that feeds your probiotics, along with antioxidants, minerals and bitter stimulating effects on liver function.

Roasted ramón seeds, from the Maya Biosphere Reserve, are also called “Capomo” or the “corn tree” by the Maya, who drank this roasted brew before the Spaniards ever brought the coffee tree to the Americas. Combining the flavors notes of both chocolate and coffee, ramón seeds add depth to this brew. With more dandelion root and herbs per serving than any other brand, Xarast Dandelion Dark Roast produces a cup where the deep, full-bodied flavor of coffee meets the health benefits of nature's healing herbs.

No other brand of coffee alternatives offers certified gluten-free flavors. Even though Xarast’s Maya and Mediterranean flavors have been tested to have no detectable levels of gluten at 5 parts per million when brewed using a paper filter, you may be worried that you might still experience a reaction to the barley in Xarast. Enjoy all of Xarast’s Dandelion certified gluten-free flavors knowing that you don’t have to worry about any exposure to gluten!

Iced Xarast is delicious too!

  • Being a dark roast coffee drinker for many years, due to digestive issues I have recently been searching for an alternative with no caffeine. Glad to find to Xarast? After trying different blends, I find the dark roast with dandelion blend to be most similar to dark roast coffee and is easy on digestion. I appreciate the added health benefits from the dandelion.

  • I just love Xarast. It seems to curb my appetite and I just can’t go a day without a good cup of it.

  • My coffee had too much acid for my stomach. Dandelion tea does not hurt my tummy at all! I love it!

  • Having a cup with the pup. I often drink it straight but using a little raw A2 heavy cream this morning. The dandelion dark is nice and bitter. It doesn’t taste like coffee per se. But it tastes good. I’ve also mixed it with the French roast which I think tastes more like coffee. I think any gluten there might be isn’t enough to be a problem.

  • I am so glad Xarast exists. As a long-time, very devoted coffee snob, when I got a diagnosis that meant I can't have caffeine, I was thrilled to find a new love in Xarast. While I enjoy many of the flavors, the Dandelion Dark Roast is my favorite and is now my daily driver. It reaches all of the coffee-like cravings I have for a hot cup of full-bodied roundness with just a touch of bitterness. I especially love that I can brew it up with the same coffee ritual I had before.

  • I drink Xarast almost every morning with a flavored creamer. I also make cold brew from Xarast. I need to make an order of 2 types every couple months. I hope I can figure that out.
